Biography
Young Henderson Leeon Vaughan found his musical beginings at the age of 13 idolizing the amazing talents of his father, Carl A. Vaughan Sr., and uncles. "My dad was notoriously known for playing two trumpets, streaming two notes AT THE SAME TIME."
Bored with the routines of grade school, Vaughan found himself indulging in poetry telling stories and jokes about real life situations. One day while joking with friends he put his poetry to a beat and form then on continued to do so.
Once he realized that he himself had real talent and that, like his father, music was in his blood, the artist Ya Boi TNT was born. Gaining influences from Hip Hop artist like Bone Thugs N Harmony, NWA, Tupac, Mac Dre, Fat Tone, Hustle Gang, Boogie Down Productions to Jazz artist such as Quincy Jones, EW&F, Chuck Mangione, Muddy Waters, TNT set out to accomplish amazing strides; "not to fit into his shoes", but similarly to his father.
The Omaha, Nebraska native raps with a quick quirky and witty style that can only be compared to himself. After being diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2004, Ya Boi TNT dedicates his career to his family and lives by a creed that inspires fans and friends alike.
"Don't second guess yourself. Do what needs to be done, and get it done and over with. Stop pussyfootin'!"
